With Whom Rental History Reports Shares Personally Identifiable Information

End-users, such as employers or property management companies, may only obtain information from Rental History Reports after they have certified a legal permissible purpose for receiving such information.
Where Rental History Reports transfers “Personally Identifiable Information” to a representative or third-party subcontractor assisting with a background check, Rental History Reports provides only the information required to assist with the background check. Rental History Reports prohibits such third-party representatives and subcontractors from using consumer information for any purpose other than assisting Rental History Reports with the background check. Rental History Reports also requires such third-party representatives and subcontractors to maintain commercially-reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality of consumer information they receive.
If Rental History Reports or its assets are acquired by another company, that company will assume responsibility for the “Personally Identifiable Information” collected by Rental History Reports through the Website and it will assume the rights and obligations regarding the collection and use of such information, as described in this Privacy Policy. Rental History Reports will not permit another business in such a circumstance to review or examine the information Rental History Reports has collected without a confidentiality agreement in place and only to the extent allowed by law.
